I decided to get this game because I heard time and time again about how great GOW was so I got the GOW collection because it was remastered on a blueray disc. Well I started playing it and I dont see why people like it so much. Everything you do in this game is repetitive, hack, hack, slash, tap, tap, tap,BORRRRIIINNNGGG! The graphics are ok for a last generation system, dont let the blueray disc it comes on fool you, the graphics are still chopped up and blocky, remastered, yeah right, this game was just converted from a regular dvd disc to blueray with no sign of remastering at all except maybe the colors are brighter WOW is that all.I thought I could look past all the highdefinition problems if I just had fun playing the game but I just could not get into it, I dont like doing the same thing over and over again after about 2 hours in the game I lost interest and traded it in. As for GOW3, I hope they drastically do some changes so it doesn’t end up like the first 2 games, I mean we’re talking PS3 here not Atari.

This game could be a lot of fun. Great graphics, great controls, and great story line.
Having played tons of games of this genre: the only thing I don’t like is that there are a few places where the game is frustratingly difficult, even on the easiest setting. To me it’s just not fun to have to spend days and days trying to get past one little thing (like a jump that has to be perfectly set up and timed or a monster that you just can’t figure out how to kill). This really has nothing to do with solving puzzles or figuring out what to do. Knowing what to do is quite easy. It’s just that the controls don’t work as they are supposed to or require an level of precision that is just ridiculously over the top for the situation you are in as compared to the rest of the game. It’s pointless that backwards jumping off of a pillar to another pillar is more difficult than killing a boss or figuring out a puzzle. It’s called bad design.
I’m making more use of hints/walkthrough pages on the internet than I’d like, but otherwise I’d probably have given up.
So far it’s really too irritating to be fun or worth my time.

It’s good for people who haven’t played GOW1 and 2 on PS2. I think there’s no need to mention what quality they are on PS2 platform, I rate them as the best action game ever on PS2.
The game itself has little difference to the original ones, they says they improved the graphic to 720P and remodeled in 60 fps, but in fact, you can barely feel the difference. The models, the environments, are all 2007 level so even though it’s been up to 720P it’s still PS2 graphics. And the trophies… Well if they mean a lot to you then you may buy the game can grab them, but they are really means nothing to me.
So I strongly recommend NEW players to dwell in, you won’t get disappointed; However, if you had played it before, probably you should save the money unless you really need the trophies, or your PS3 are not capable for PS2 games.

Good upgrade of a classic from the PS2 Era; I do recommend it to anybody who either loved the originals, or never played them. However, imho this game is just good, not amazing.

I always loved the Greek mythology but whome ever though and design this game must have been a serious, devoted lover of such stories. Love the the design on the man’s body but next time can you make him more alive than dead.
My husband plays this a lot and its a great story and conflict story and overall this game is good!
